Campuses
Middlesex University has several campuses across north London.
Each offers specialist facilities and is friendly and welcoming.
Ranging in style from modern centres to buildings, which have been
standing for hundreds of years, the campuses include a mansion house
and country park estate, purpose-built sites, and bases at four
leading teaching hospitals. Each campus has its own distinct personality
and unique atmosphere - and at the same time offers the same 'Middlesex
experience'. Halls of residence are located on campus or conveniently
close by. The predominantly urban surroundings of the University
means there is also a good choice of private rented accommodation.
Commuting is straightforward: public transport links connect the
campus network, there are designated University cycle routes and
all its major centres have car parks.
Beyond the campus grounds, north London's many local attractions
have much to offer and the city's centre is only a short distance
away.
The university has the following main campuses:
1. Bounds Green
2. Cat Hill
3. Enfield
4. Hendon
5. Quicksilver Place
6. Tottenham
7. Trent Park
Besides these campuses, the university also has Archway and Hospitals
Campus which is based at four north London teaching hospitals:
Chase
Farm, North Middlesex, the Royal Free and the Whittington. The Archway
campus runs in association with The Royal Free and UCL Medical School.
Study
Options
Middlesex offers a range of qualifications from certificates, diplomas
and honors degrees to postgraduate awards and research degrees.
If a student is developing a new interest, there are various foundation
courses available. Mature students can follow work based learning
programmes centred on their professional experience. Following are
the various study options available for the students:
- Access to Higher Education
If a student is returning to education after a long break or in
later life, he can choose to study on one of the several Middlesex
validated access courses run by the university's partner colleges.
This stepping-stone is particularly well suited to students without
formal qualifications.
- Undergraduate Pathways
The students have options to study at undergraduate level and develop
their degree based on the University's modular programme.
- Postgraduate Pathways
Postgraduate study encompasses three main study routes and most
can be followed on either a full or part-time basis. These are taught
programmes, research degrees and work based learning professional
studies. The university also offers other specialist options such
as research degrees by published works, higher doctorates and international
research degrees by distance learning.
- Work Based Learning
Work Based Learning is especially beneficial for mature learners
who want to combine higher education with professional development.
It is expressly suited to people in full-time employment - employers
have much to gain too!
- Work placements
Work placement experience is an opportunity to enhance the academic
studies with professional development and set the career plans in

- Semester/Year abroad programme
Over 3,000 North American students have studied at Middlesex on
semester and year programmes. The university offers a flexible study
programme, guaranteed housing, compatible semester dates, the services
of a full time Study Abroad Officer...and a warm welcome!
- Studying abroad
Time spent studying overseas is an invaluable opportunity to broaden
the horizons and gain additional skills - and the students don't
have to speak a second language to make the most of it. The students
can opt to spend part of their time studying at one of the university's
partner institutions almost anywhere in the world. Overseas study
earns academic credit and counts towards the final academic award
- so the students still qualify in the same amount of time.
- Summer School
