Accreditation & Legal Status
Halifax University is legally licensed by the State of Wyoming
and is officially authorized to award all levels of post secondary
academic degrees, but is not accredited by a recognized accrediting
body of the United States Department of Education.
In the United States the federal government itself does not accredit
schools, nor does it evaluate the quality of schools, however the
U.S. Department of Education certifies certain accrediting associations
to identify member schools as acceptable for the award of federal
financial assistance.
Most U.S. businesses and many state and local governments will accept
the academic credentials of Halifax students and graduates. The
State of Wyoming authorizes Halifax University to issue academic
degrees that are valid and official. State officials conduct constant
inspections to make certain that Halifax meets to all applicable
state laws.
